Racing through the surf, playing in the sand: few dogs love anything more than a day at the seaside. That’s why your dog is warmly welcome at Beachhouse Hotel too. To keep the stay pleasant for you, your dog and our other guests, the following rules apply.
Dogs and other pets
Who is welcome
- Dogs are welcome all year round in designated rooms. We are unable to accommodate other pets.
- One dog is permitted per room, weighing up to 20 kg and with a shoulder height of up to 40 cm.
- Please register your dog when making your reservation and provide its breed, weight and shoulder height. The number of dog-friendly rooms is limited; without prior notice, we cannot guarantee a stay with a dog.
- If your dog does not meet these requirements on arrival, or if your dog was not registered in advance and no suitable room is available, we may refuse your dog entry. In that case, the reservation remains valid and no refund will be given.
- Recognised assistance dogs, including guide dogs, assistance dogs and ADL dogs, are always welcome, regardless of weight and shoulder height. They have access to all areas open to guests, including the breakfast room. No supplement applies to assistance dogs. Please register your assistance dog when booking so we can prepare for your stay properly; we may ask to see the dog’s certificate or passport.
Costs
- The supplement is €25 per dog per night. This includes the extra cleaning of the room. Damage and excessive soiling are not included.
- For stays with a dog, we place an additional pre-authorisation of €150 per room, on top of the deposit referred to in Article 4.5. We release this amount after check-out and inspection of the room.
During your stay
- Keep your dog on a lead in the hotel and on the surrounding grounds.
- Before entering the hotel, make sure your dog is dry and clean so that no sand or mud is left behind.
- Dogs are not allowed on beds, sofas or armchairs. Please bring your own dog bed, blanket or mat.
- Your dog may never be left alone in the room, not even for a short time. When you leave the room, your dog leaves with you.
- Dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room between 07:00 and 11:00. Because your dog cannot be left alone in the room, we ask you to arrange a solution in advance, for example taking turns at breakfast or having breakfast in your room. Our reception team will be happy to help. For assistance dogs, Article 8.5 applies.
- Please be considerate of other guests. Not everyone likes dogs or appreciates an enthusiastic greeting.
- Always clean up after your dog, both on our grounds and in the surrounding area. The municipality of Zandvoort can enforce this independently and issue a fine, which is separate from any costs we charge.
- On the beach and in the surrounding dunes, dog rules vary by season and by area, including leash requirements and access restrictions. Our reception team will gladly tell you what currently applies.
Damage and nuisance
- Your dog stays at the hotel at your own risk. As the owner, you are liable for any damage your dog causes to the building, the interior or other people’s property.
- In the event of damage or excessive soiling, we will charge the cost of repair and cleaning, as well as any loss of income if the room cannot be let as a result.
- If we have to compensate other guests for nuisance caused by your dog, we will pass these costs on to you.
- In the event of nuisance, such as persistent barking or unacceptable behaviour, we will first give a warning. If the nuisance continues, we may refuse your dog access to the hotel and, if necessary, end your stay. In either case, there is no entitlement to a refund of the room rate or the supplement.
